Your First Visit to Our Santa Barbara Practice

You’ll find plenty of convenient parking and a well-lit parking lot. You’ll be greeted by name when you enter our practice and given a short tour to get you acquainted with our facilities.

If you’ve already completed your admitting paperwork, great!

Your first visit into the office is one of great importance. On this visit the doctor will perform a complete chiropractic, orthopedic and neurological evaluation of your problem. This exam will help the doctor to determine if your problem is a chiropractic problem or not.

If your condition is not a chiropractic problem you will be referred immediately to a doctor that can help you. The initial exam will also indicate to the doctor if x-rays are necessary.  If so, you will be sent for x-rays off site.

Dr. Crystal will discuss your signs and symptoms with you, along with taking a complete history of the complaint.

Please allow extra time for your first visit, about 45 minutes.

Dr. Crystal Asks some important questions of interest to Santa Barbara residents - Chiropractor Santa Barbara Dr. Crystal Asks...

Could a chiropractor put an end to bedwetting?
If bladder control seems elusive, consider chiropractic. If spinal bones are interfering with nerves that control your child's bladder, plastic sheets, alarms and other methods simply add to the embarrassment. Santa Barbara parents are often amazed (and relieved) that chiropractic can be so helpful. Learn more.
What's the difference between a "good" drug and a "bad" drug?
As a chiropractor, I see the use of many drugs (legal or illegal) as merely symptom treating. Worse, virtually every drug produces unwanted effects. The effects of chiropractic are largely positive effects. If you're a Santa Barbara parent, consider carefully before giving your child a cough medication, cold remedy or pain reliever so this sort of question doesn't arise in the first place.
